SCORES of dead fish were found in the Umbilo River in Queensburgh on Wednesday, 11 February.
Ward councillor, André Mitchell, contacted Queensburgh News on Wednesday with the information that dead fish were found on the property of the acclaimed Queensburgh Caravan Park. Among the dead fish were also dead eels. Thick foam was also seen flowing down the river.
It has not yet been confirmed what chemical spilled into the river, but the Department of Water Affairs took samples on scene and is currently having it tested.
