Careways receive Christmas treats

Careways members spoiled on their annual christmas party.

CAREWAYS members from KwaNdengezi and Kloof were treated to lunch for their Christmas party, courtesy of Ammazulu African Palace, who catered for 40 people.

The lunch was enjoyed by all who gratefully accepted this kind gesture. Many of them have never been out for lunch and Careways was grateful to Ammazulu for catering and hosting them.

Waterfall Superspar, SPAR head office and KerriG designs contributed to the gifts for all the members.

Thomas More pupils kindly supplied love boxes and the Robin Hood Foundation together with other individuals assisted with some food hampers.

Careways is a registered non-profit organisation that reaches out to intellectually impaired adults. Their goal is to provide day care centres where those attending are involved in a variety of activities, such as arts, crafts, basic education, life skills training and outings.

Santa arrived with gifts and Thomas More College pupils, Andrew Codner did a fire display and Kinara Kalicharan did some eastern dancing, while Charlie the clown provided entertainment and sculpted balloons for all.

Careways still have space available for next year, contact Bobbie on 082 930 0861.
