Hospital delivers 1000th bundle of joy

The Hillcrest Private Hospital recently delivered it's 1000th baby, little Kailyn Collen.

STAFF at the Hillcrest Private Hospital delivered its 1000th baby on Thursday 22 May.

Little Kailyn Jade Collen, was born weighing a healthy 3.6kgs, and arrived at 8.05am to meet her proud parents, Mark and Linda Collen.

Hospital manager, Annette Olls, was on hand to make sure the proud first-time-parents received the attention they deserved, including the enormous 1000th celebratory cake.

“This milestone almost caught us by surprise. We are delighted to have achieved it so soon, in less than three years after opening! The personal attention and care that we have been able to give each mom has made the difference,” said Olls.

According to Mark, he and his wife received two surprises on the special day.

“Not only were we completely unaware that Kailyn would be the hospital’s 1000th delivery, but we also finally got to find out that our baby was a little girl,” said Mark.

Mark and Linda were able to take Kailyn home on Sunday, 25 May. “She has been a perfect angel,” said Mark.
