Westville community supports CANSA Shavathon

Westville Mall raises more than R17 000 at the CANSA Shavathon.

MORE than R17 000 was raised at the Westville Mall’s CANSA Shavathon on Saturday 1 March.

Janine Kyle, marketing manager at the mall commended the volunteers who worked so hard.

“The amazing Westville community once again came out in support of a fantastic cause and this year we raised R7000 more than last year. There were many people who gave donations or shaved/sprayed in honour of relatives who have passed on,” said Kyle.

There was a display of solidarity for all those who have lost the fight to this disease. Many survivors were out in full force and there was a wonderful camaraderie between all who worked at the event and the people who came to be shaved, sprayed or purchase a wrap.

“Having lost my wonderful brother Greg at a young age recently to cancer, I know the emotion linked to the Shavathon. Thank you to each and every person who helped me with this promotion,” added Kyle.
