DURBAN Metro Police have arrested approximately 200 drunk drivers since the holiday season kicked off.
Metro Police’s Eugene Msomi has warned motorists that Metro Police will be out in full force and will carry out random car searchers and roadblocks until the festive season is done. He urged motorists not to drink and drive, cautioning those who are caught driving under the influence that they will be arrested.
He said there had been a number of accidents recorded in KwaZulu0-Natal, in particular in the Durban region and urged motorists to drive responsibly.
