The BFM awards celebrate and recognise talent from the beauty, fashion and music industry within South Africa.
Cya was voted by the public as they are given a month to vote via SMS for their favourites.

He made history as the only artist in the Highveld to ever win in these categories.

Born and raised in Ermelo, Cya has released songs receiving massive airplay on radio stations.

He entered the “Route 40 Talent Search” at the Casterbridge Music Development Academy where he took second place.

That gave him an opportunity to share a stage with internationally renowned singer-songwriter and guitarist Vusi Mahlasela, Prime Circle and ISO at a music festival in White River.

He was spotted by award-winning theatre actor and radio personality Biziwe Masango that signed him to his company.

He now signed to Gemshack Media and managed by Mpho Hlahla.

“There are my first awards and I am so grateful to everyone who voted for me.”
“A shout out to all the media houses who gave the platform to canvass for votes. I appreciate it,” said CYA.
