Liggie golfers swing their way to victory
All three teams succeeded elegantly at the final Gert Sibande District golf tournament.
Ligbron’s golf teams competed in their final golf tournament in the Gert Sibande district against Volksrust last Friday.
Three teams are going through to the Mpumalanga finals which will take place in August.
The A league team won with 43 points. Heath Kitchenmaster was the best player of the day, and scored a total of 15 points for his team.
Ulrich Kleynhans was the best golfer in the B league with a score of 21 points, contributing to his team’s winnings of 55 points.
Both the A and B league teams are Gert Sibande district winners.
The C league team took second place in the district, making them eligible to participate in the provincial tournament in August.
