Runners flock to Ermelo for Shalom Half-marathon
A gentle drizzle kept the runners cool during the 5km, 10km and 21km races.
The Shalom Half-marathon attracted participants from all over to the AJ Swanepoel Stadium in Ermelo this past weekend.
Registration for the marathon started at 05:00, and the runners started off on the predetermined route at 07:00.

The first three finishers in the 10km and 20km race, the first youngster in the 10km and winners of the 40+, 50+, and 60+ age groups all received cash prizes.
Participation medals were also given to all the runners.
“Shalom Marathon Club would like to thank all of the participants, organisers and stakeholders. The race was a huge success, and congratulations to everyone who won,” said Gugu Shange, the club’s spokesperson.
