Big dust storm expected over Ermelo during Cartrack Ermelo National Rally

This year's rally, according to organiser and participant Cobus Groenewald, is especially compelling because the top five cars are separated by just 12 points.

Rally enthusiasts should anticipate a significant dust storm that will develop over Ermelo during the Cartrack Ermelo National Rally, which runs from September 9 to 10.

Like past rallies held in Ermelo, this one is certain to attract a sizable crowd.

This year’s rally, according to organiser and participant Cobus Groenewald, is especially compelling because the top five cars are separated by just 12 points.

Thirty cars are expected to compete over 12 stages in the rally, guaranteeing an abundance of vroom-vrooms spectators can look forward to.

Local racers from the area will also be well-represented.

Accidents can happen even when organisers take all reasonable safety precautions, therefore attendees are cautioned that they do so at their own risk.

Groenewald asked spectators to exercise extra caution, particularly by keeping young children in mind and by following the spectator guidelines.

Readers will be able to access the spectating guidelines on Womza’s website at womzarally.co.za or on the Highvelder website at highveldernews.co.za closer to the event.

In closing, Groenewald stated he would like to thank all of the sponsors for helping to make the event possible as well as the individuals who offered the use of their property for the various stages.
