Goals galore at the SAB Soccer League in Gert Sibande District

The next round of matches are set to take place at various stadiums in the district on the weekend of 22 March, with Sun City Gunners FC to play Manzana FC, Mafia FC are going up against My Flower FC and VOC United FC will face Losta Stars FC.

Various soccer teams in the Gert Sibande District battled it out during the SAB Soccer Leaque at stadiums around the district on 15 March.

VOC United kicked off proceedings at the Thuthukani Open Grounds in Wesselton and faced Manzana FC.

They managed to score a 2-0 victory.

Sun City Gunners FC failed to defend four goals from going into their net and went down 4-0 against the table log leaders, Shooters FC.

In other matches, Somhlolo United continued their winning streak by beating Barcelona FC 4-2, Breyen Stars lost 0-1 to Fernie Battalion FC and Breyten Home Sweepers made a clean sweep with a 3-1 win over Flymingo United FC.

Black Stone FC ended their match against Losta Stars FC with a 1-1 stalemate.

Davel Young Bee’s FC could not hold back Mayflower FC as they put six goals past the goalkeeper from Davel.

Steynsdorp Ajax FC scored three goals against Silobela United FC, ending their match 3-0. After the weekend, Shooters FC tops the log with 57 points, followed by Somhlolo United on 52 points.

Breyten Home Sweepers rounds off the top three on the table with 50 points. Sun City Gunners is currently at number 10 with 25 points.

Two local teams are in the bottom three, with Mafia FC in 16th place with six points and VOC United FC in 15th place with 21 points.
