Tectonix and Oshoek Volleyball Teams dominate the courts at Ermelo Sports Inn as GS Volleyball League resumes

The fourth round brought the action as both women and men’s teams competed, with the sides playing more than four games on the day.

The Gert Sibande District Basketball League resumed on Saturday, 16 March, at the Ermelo Sports Inn, as teams from around the region battled it out on the courts for maximum points to move up on the league table.

In the women’s category, the Oshoek and Mayflower Volleyball Teams showed class, winning all their matches on the day.

Unfortunately, the Flamingos Volleyball Team, the only Ermelo team, under performed, going down 2-0 to Mayflower as they played just one game on the day.

After the weekend, the Oshoek team top the log standings on 57 points.

They are followed by the Standerton’s Tectonix team on 36 points, and the Eagles from Wakkerstroom round-off the top three on 36 points as well.

In the men’s league, Oshoek dominated their competitors, winning all their matches and defeating their close rivals, the Tectonix team.

No team from Ermelo was represented in the men’s league.

After the weekend, Oshoek are at the top on 48 points and are followed by Standerton’s Tectonix.

The Shooters from Breyten are in third place with 33 points.
