Gunners, Mafia and Ermelo United get maximum points in SAB Soccer League Gert Sibande Stream B

After the weekend, Manzana still top the league while Ermelo United are down at the bottom in what has been a difficult season for the Ermelo outfit.

Three of the local teams registered maximum points in the SAB Soccer League Gert Stream B, during the weekend of 2 February.

Various matches took place at stadiums across the district.

VOC United kicked things off at the Mpumalanga Stadium, playing against Flymingo United, in what was a very important match to determine the second spot on the log table.

However, the local side’s winning run came to screeching halt after going down 2-1 to the Mkhondo side.

Mafia FC have hit a good patch and are winning matches which was evident after they defeated the defending champions, Somhlolo FC, 4-2.

Ermelo United got maximum points by default after their opponents, Losta Stars arrived late to the venue.

Sun City Gunners were triumphant as they beat PR Barcelona who is recovering from a horrible accident, which left their coach critically injured. The side from Ext 32 won 3-1 at the AJ Swanepoel Stadium.

Log leaders, Manzana FC, continued their winning ways and beat Black Stone 1-0.

In other matches, Breyten Home Sweepers thrashed Mpumalanga Eagles FC 5-0 and Passion won 2-1 against XI Experience.

Shooters FC lived up to their name and put three goals to the Hammers one to win their match 3-1.

The Breyten United versus Typhoon match did not take place with venue set to be announced.
