Msukaligwa Sports Council holds annual sport tournament at Mpumalanga Stadium
The sports tournament is an annual event that the Msukaligwa Sports Council hosts to develop sport teams around the region.
The Msukaligwa Sports Council recently held its annual sports tournament at the Mpumalanga Stadium on Saturday, 30 June.
Sports teams participated in diverse sporting codes, including soccer, chess, frontball and the newly introduced wheelchair basketball.
The wheelchair basketball was aimed at developing sports people living with disability in the region.
The Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation (DCCSR) and institutions such as LoveLife and Anova Health Institute lent their hand and resources to ensure a successful tournament.
“We thank DCCSR for sponsoring the tournament and Msukaligwa Municipality for their contribution and the continuous support they give to sports programmes in the Msukaligwa region,” said the chairman of the Msukaligwa Sports Council, Mr Blessing Sibande.
