Nomkhosi is the only woman referee in Msukaligwa.

Nomkhosi Nkosi is ruling the soccer world as the only woman refereeing male matches in the SAB Soccer League.

Having grown up in Breyten, she gravitated towards soccer at a young age.

She began playing for the girls soccer team at Masizakhe Secondary School and has never looked back.

The sport took her overseas when at U/16-level, she represented South Africa in a tournament in Norway.

She has an extensive soccer CV, having played for various teams around the province.

Cool City Wizards Ladies and Detroit Ladies are just two of many teams she has played for.

She credits Doctor “Skhulu” Mnisi as one of the people who believed in her and developed her talent.

Nomkhosi decided to take up refereeing in the latter years of her soccer career. She is now a level 3 accredited referee.

After three seasons officially officiating in the SAB Soccer League, Nomkhosi is a force to be reckoned with.

This woman is not afraid to issue the occasional red card.

With dreams of officiating in big matches such as the world cup, this woman is well on her way.
