Shooters defeat Somhlolo FC

Shooters found the back of the net in the first minute of first half

Shooters FC from Carolina thrashed Lothair’s Somhlolo FC 3-2 in their fast paced Gert Sibande SAB league encounter yesterday at Fernie grounds.

Shooters found the back of the net in the first minute of first half after Petros Nkambule muscled his way into Somhlolo’s 18 yard half and released a powerful shot giving his team a lead.

Seven minutes later, Somhlolo FC found the equaliser through Xolane Sukazi after Shooters FC defense failed to man mark him.

Sohjlolo made another come back as the opened the lead with their second goal when Mthokozisi Manto took a direct free kick which Shooters defenders failed to clear increasing the score to 2-1.

Shooters lanky striker Vusi Nkambule found the equaliser in the second half after releasing a missile shot at Somhlolo FC keeper who stood no chance at all.

Vusi Nkambule was at it again in the 71st minute when he opened the lead to 3-2 which they comfortably maintained.

Shooters remain top at the log with 67 points.
