Six-wicket haul for Andrich

Andrich finished with a six-wicket haul and his eight overs including three maidens cost him only 21 runs.

The Msukaligwa Warriors cricket team proved to have too much fire-power in both their batting and bowling departments on Saturday and notched up a 149-run victory over the visiting Bethal Bulldogs.

The Warriors batted first and accumulated an impressive 217 runs before being dismissed in the 43rd over.

Henré Naudé top-scored for the Warriors with 60 sparkling runs and Riaan Jansen’s contribution of 54 runs helped to set a difficult but achievable target for the visitors.

The Warrior’s bowlers were in no mood to give away easy runs and with Andrich Viljoen in top form, the Bulldogs were soon in trouble.

Andrich finished with a six-wicket haul and his eight overs including three maidens cost him only 21 runs.

Christiaan Maartens took two wickets in his spell of six overs which cost him 34 runs.

The Bulldogs could only answer with 68 runs before being bowled out by the Warriors in the 19th over, handing the Warriors victory by 149 runs.
