The Ermelo Defensive Pistol Club (EDPC) hosted its inaugural league shoot at the Vlakfontein Shooting Range on Saturday.
EDPC is a member of the South African Defensive Pistol Association (SADPA).
The cold weather did not deter the 53 enthusiastic competitors in the individual and team competition and the well organised event led to keen competition among the shooters who competed over eight stages plus a bonus stage.
The stages were challenging and tested each shooter’s ability to perform well in trying conditions.
A noted presence at the event was Adrian Rosslee, founding member of the SADPA. EDPC members were honoured to have a shooter of such high standing at the event.
The overall winner in the individual category was HJ van der Ahee and the team event was won by the hosts EDPC.
EDPC would like to thank their sponsors for making the event a success as well as the ladies from the Breyten Dutch Reformed Church who provided the competitors with eats and hot coffee.
