De Wit Motors Ermelo hosted its 8th annual Mercedes Trophy Golf Challenge at the Ermelo Country Club on Friday.
A group of 60 De Wit Motors Mercedes-Benz customers teed off in the morning in an effort to qualify for the national play-offs scheduled to take place in Mauritius later this year.
The top three finalists in the Mauritius play-offs will participate in the 2015 Mrecedes Trophy World Final in Stuttgart, Germany.
The winners of the Ermelo Mercedes Trophy round are Theo Bleeker (A Division), Corné van Dijk (B Division) and Wally van der Walt (C Division). These gentlemen will be jetting off to Mauritius in August.
De Wit Motors were pleased to welcome their brand ambassador, well-known Afrikaans singer Bok van Blerk, who won two prizes on the day, one for closest to the pin and another one for the longest drive on the ninth tee.
Louis Greeff hit the longest drive on the 17th and the prize for the longest drive among the ladies was won by Corné de Villiers.
The money raised on the day will be donated to the local CMR charity organisation that does sterling work within the community in terms of protecting and taking care of children and families in need.
