GSDM management donates school shoes to children

The church reached out to the Habile, requesting GSDM's support for a winter drive by donating 50 pairs of school shoes and sanitary towels for needy children at a local school.

The Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) has expressed its gratitude for the recent act of kindness demonstrated by the district municipal manager Absenia Habile and his management team.

This follows a request made by the Methodist Church of South Africa (YWM Msukaligwa 1020).

Despite financial constraints preventing official assistance, the municipal manager brought the need to the attention of the management team, inviting voluntary personal donations.

The response was overwhelming, resulting in the donation of 36 pairs of school shoes, all from the generosity of the management team.

The shoes were handed over on May 30.

GSDM commends the initiative and the generous spirit shown by its management.
