Alleged stray bullet from police pierces childrens’ bedroom in Wesselton

Highvelder investigates the alarming events that have prompted a father to build a protective barrier around his home.

The community was left fuming after a shooting incident on November 7.

According to a resident of a house near the area where the incident had taken place, the police allegedly missed their intended target, who she claims was running away from the officers.

She alleges that the discharged bullet pierced through her window, lodging itself in a wardrobe in one of her children’s bedrooms.

The resident, who chose to remain anonymous, firmly insists that the police fired the bullet during the incident.

She and some other people confronted the authorities.

They were adamant about the need for an investigation into the alleged shooting and also questioned who would be responsible for the repairs.

The resident said the police have not officially responded to her, even though she claims they had told her they would.
