ERMELO – A man was shot and killed in a cold-blooded attack that was caught on CCTV footage.

The shooting occurred between 01:00 and 02:00 when a group of men were at a local filling station on November 12.

Without warning, an assailant emerged, jogging towards the unsuspecting victim.

He shot the man in the head at point-blank range. The victim collapsed instantly.

The suspect, seemingly unfazed, proceeded to shoot the victim multiple times after, as the bystanders scrambled to get away.

The entire incident, captured by the filling station’s CCTV cameras, has been widely circulated on social media channels. The decision was made not to use the footage due to the graphic nature of the content.

After the heinous act, the assailant approached the fallen victim, checking on him briefly. He then appeared to recover the spent cartridges and fled the scene.

The Ermelo police have taken swift action, launching an investigation into the murder.
