Vehicle accident causes damage to electrical poles and street lights in Ermelo
The damage to the electrical poles might affect electricity of some households in the area.
A vehicle accident caused damage to electrical poles, street lights, and a resident’s wall at the Juriaanse and General Botha Road intersection in the early hours of 27 August.
Residents and motorists are urged to be mindful of hanging cables imposing a possible danger.
Municipal workers are on the scene, replacing the poles with temporary fixtures.
One of the municipal workers mentioned to the Highvelder that this incident on this corner is nothing new, as it’s their third time apparently repairing poles on this corner.
The estimated repair time will be five hours, and some areas such as General Botha and Juriaanse Street will be without electricity during the repairs.
