Support Highvelder’s cupcakes initiative in support of kids with cancer

Highvelder invites all avid bakers who wish to make a donation, to bake 12 or 24 cupcakes and hand them in at the offices on September 28.

ERMELO – For Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Highvelder will partner with Cupcakes of Hope to host a fundraising event in honour of children fighting cancer.

Highvelder will hold a competition where the prettiest cupcakes will also be showcased in order to increase the fun of the occasion.

The event will take place on Thursday September 29 at the Highvelder offices at 43 Kerk Street, and residents will be able to vote for the cupcake they think are the most creative.

The Highvelder staff have pledged to bake 250 cupcakes to be sold at the office.

They would, however, like to match the 1 000 sold during their previous event, and need the community’s help to make a difference.

Cupcakes of Hope is celebrating its 10th birthday, and calls all bakers to make cupcakes in honour of lost loved ones and cancer survivors.

Childhood cancer is a challenging journey, and this event offers a fun and rewarding way for residents to help those who are currently undergoing treatment.

The cupcakes will be sold at R5 each, however, any donations are welcome.

All proceeds will go to Cupcakes of Hope. This will enable the organisation to continue the much-needed support it provides to hundreds of young cancer patients and their families every month.

This includes covering their medical bills and other essential needs, from diapers to nutrition and everything in between.

Together with the support of the Ermelo community, we can “bake” a difference! For more information, contact Highvelder on 017 811 2221.
