ERMELO – Absenia Habile’s five-year contract as the municipal manager (MM) of the Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) came to an end on October 20.
The recruitment process for the vacant position of MM is under way.
The administration will be led by the GSDM Department of Corporate Services, led by Makhazasi Radebe, head of corporate services, until the recruitment process is finalised.
“The executive mayor, Cllr Walter Mngomezulu, and the council of GSDM wished to express their gratitude to Habile for successfully leading the institution’s administration for a full five-year term of contract,” Bongi Ka Dube, the district municipality’s spokesperson, said.
An update on the municipal manager’s appointment will be published as soon as the matter has progressed.
