Five suspects in court for theft of essential infrastructure in Ermelo
The police acted on the information and caught the suspects near Nyibe.
ERMELO – The police caught five suspects in possession of stolen essential infrastructure on May 29.
According to Captain Carla Prinsloo, the spokesperson for the Ermelo police, they received an anonymous tip regarding two vehicles traveling to Ermelo with the stolen steel.
The police acted on the information and caught the suspects near Nyibe.
The estimated value of the steel are R500 000.
They were arrested on a charge of theft of essential infrastructure and appeared in Ermelo Magistrate’s Court on May 30.
