ACSU and police apprehend suspects believed to be in possession of rhino horn near Ermelo

ERMELO – Acsu Security Services and the local police detained two suspects who were allegedly in possession of illegal rhino horn on December 8.

According to preliminary information, the two suspects were reportedly in a bakkie that was flagged in Piet Retief.

Acsu and the local police were able to stop the car just outside of Ermelo on the Piet Retief Road after acting on information provided by the Natal police.

The rhino horns in question were hidden underneath the bakkie’s bonnet.

The suspects will be taken into custody by the police and formally charged.
