Multi-vehicle accident causes chaos in Ermelo
Multiple vehicles were involved in an accident in Kerk Street. Motorists are advised to avoid the street until further notice.
A truck left a large path of destruction tonight, August 24, just before 19:00, when it swerved down Kerk Street and came to a halt near the 24Motor dealership.
Three vehicles, including the truck, a small vehicle and a bakkie, were involved in the accident, leaving one person seriously injured.
The truck allegedly collided with a vehicle in Burger Street, before it smashed into the wall near Mugg and Bean and came to a halt.

The truck driver was trapped underneath the truck. Members of Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue services and several bystanders lifted the truck in an attempt to free him.
He sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital.
The SACCW warned motorists to avoid Kerk Street, between Burger and Oosthuizen Street, while emergency services are busy on the scene.
