GSDM excutive major leads officials in cleaning campaign

Residents and motorists were urged to refrain from littering and to take care of their immediate environment.

CAROLINA – Gert Sibande District Municipality’s executive mayor, Cllr Walter Mngomezulu led officials in a clean-up operation on Mandela Day.

The focus area was Kerk and Voortrekker Streets where members were ridding sidewalks of litter.

Residents and motorists were urged to refrain from littering and to take care of their immediate environment.

The day concluded with senior citizens in the area receiving blankets, food parcels and gardening tools at the town hall.
