Man injured in pedestrian accident on Hendrina Road, dies in hospital

A pedestrian was critically injured and admitted to Ermelo Provincial Hospital.

The man who was run over last night has regrettably died in the hospital from his injuries, according to recent information obtained.

Captain Carla Prinsloo, Ermelo Police Spokesperson, stated a case of culpable homice will be investigated.

ERMELO – A man was critically injured in a pedestrian accident on July 7.

The accident happened on the Hendrina Road, near the traffic light at Boxer Centre.

He was treated at the scene before being admitted to Ermelo Provincial Hospital.

Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services, Ermelo Provincial Ambulance Services, the local traffic department, Ermelo police, members of Star of Life and Van Wettens Towing services were on the scene.

While paramedics treated the patient, traffic officers and local firefighters directed traffic.

Firefighters cleaned the bloody road, and members of Star of Life cleared the debris.
