GS College aims to provide skills to students in mobile device repairing

STANDERTON – The GS College’s Skills Academy and Artisan Development Centre participated in a mobile device repair training induction programme held on June 21.

The programme took place in Standerton and saw a total of 35 students from GS College campuses take part.

A total of 35 students from GS College campuses participated in the programme.

According to GS College’s spokesperson, Oscar Kubeka, the day was sponsored by the South African Mobile Devices Distributors and Repairers Association, the media, information and communication technologies sector and the education and training authority.

“The main purpose is to develop new, modern entrepreneurs who will be responsible to fix all the electronic devices you can think of. Through the initiative, the college will open opportunities for our students,” Kubeka said.
