New CYCC manager is ready to build relationships in Ermelo

Ms Nzoyi moved to Ermelo at the end of March and officially began as the manager of the CMR CYCC on April 1.

ERMELO – Ms Kwanele Zingisa Nzoyi was recently appointed the manager of the CMR Child and Youth Care Centre.

She is originally from Volksrust and completed her matric in Vryheid.

“I always knew that I wanted to work with people, to make a difference in their lives and to breach the gap between the poor and the rich,” Ms Nzoyi said.

Growing up she saw numerous people around her who did not always have enough to provide for their families and knew that she wanted to make a difference.

She completed her studies for social work at the University of Fort Hare in the Eastern Cape in 2011.

Soon after she began working as a social worker at the CMR in Middelburg.

An opportunity arose for her to work at a facility for disabled people in New Castle, and she grabbed it with both hands.

“I was working with children and adults who were physically challenged and learned a lot at that facility.

She also gained experience at an old age home in Newcastle but felt the need to work with vulnerable children instead.

Ms Nzoyi moved to Ermelo at the end of March and officially began as the manager of the CMR CYCC on April 1.
