Three bodies found in Ermelo less than 48 hours apart, police investigate

The police are investigating three murder cases in Wesselton.

ERMELO – The police were dispatched to Ext 32 on April 2 at about 06:00, where a man with head injuries had been discovered lying in the street with no signs of life.

According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, the Ermelo police spokesman, EMS personnel were called to the scene and declared the man dead.

“The man was employed as a security guard at a sewage site under construction, not far from where his body was discovered,” Capt Prinsloo said.

She said the motive for the murder was still under investigation, and the police had detained three suspects for further investigation.

On the same day, the body of a 21-year-old man was found dumped in an excavation in Ext 5, Wesselton.
