Police need help finding man with mental health disorder who went missing in Hendrina

He reportedly left his home on September 10 and never returned.

HENDRINA – The police requested the help of community members to locate Mr Nkosinathi Richard Jiyane (32), who had recently been reported missing.

According to Col Donald Mdhluli, a provincial police spokesman, Mr Jiyane had been staying on Hendrina Uitgesorg Farm and is a mental health patient.

He reportedly left his home on September 10 and never returned.

“He was wearing a blue and yellow long-sleeved T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes, as well as a small purple gown,” said Col Mdhluli.

Mr Jiyane is light in complexion, slender, and is 1.68m tall.

Anyone with information that may assist the police in finding Mr Jiyane, are urged to contact Det Const Itumeleng Ikaneng on 073 621 0111 or the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.

Alternatively, members of the public may send information via the My SAPS app.

“All received information will be treated as confidential and callers may opt to remain anonymous,” Col Mdhluli concluded.
