Sibusiso thanks Children of the Dawn for second chance in life

He thanked everyone at Children of the Dawn who made an impact on his life.

Mr Sibusiso Madonsela from Ermelo has recently completed his degree in mining engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.

After losing his mother at age seven and his father at age 10, Sbusiso was raised by his grandmother in Thusi Village in Ermelo.

She introduced him to the one of the caretakers at Children of the Dawn, Zandile, who helped him to register as a member.

Children of the Dawn is an organisation for vulnerable and orphaned children.

To Mr Madonsela, the members of Children of the Dawn gave him opportunities that no one could have given him and exposed him to the kind of life that he always dreamt of as a kid.

“The organisation took me at my lowest when it felt like I had nothing and gave me hope to a better me and a better future.”

He thanked everyone at Children of the Dawn who made an impact on his life.

“I would like to give a special mention to Magali Malherbe, BabZulu, Zandile and Tendai Mugabe, they have played important roles in my life and each one had a role in who I am today.”

Mr Madonsela matriculated at Reggie Masuku Secondary School and knew from a young age that he wanted to further his studies.

“Education was my only hope to a better life, a life I did not have as a kid.”
