Working on Fire prepares for fire season

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), WoF had to do away with Yellow Card Training Camps, which included three-day camps with four teams in a region, which prompted WoF management and Kishugu Training Academy instructors, to conduct assessments at team’s bases.

The Working on Fire (WoF) teams are gearing up training ahead of the winter fire season between the months of June and October.

Yellow Card Training in Mpumalanga is taking place under strict lockdown protocols and regulations.

The Yellow Card training is aimed at assessing mental, physical and firefighting skills as the country prepares for the upcoming fire season.

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), WoF had to do away with Yellow Card Training Camps, which included three-day camps with four teams in a region, which prompted WoF management and Kishugu Training Academy instructors, to conduct assessments at team’s bases.

WoF ensured the public that firefighters and management adhered to Covid-19 precautionary measures during the training, to minimize the risk of exposure.
