Carolina Police arrested three suspects on 8 May in connection with possession of dagga.
According to Sgt Thabang Mokwana, spokesman for Carolina Police, they received information about a vehicle suspected to be transporting dagga, driving from Oshoek towards Carolina.
The police followed up on the information and spotted a grey Nissan X rail with three occupants, fitting the description of the information.
“The vehicle was stopped and the police requested to do a search.”
Sgt Mokwana added that during the search they found 23 rolls of dagga in the boot of the vehicle.
The dagga has a street value of about R50 000.
The three suspects were arrested and will appear in the Carolina Magistrate’s Court on 11 May.
