Cattle herders discover missing young man and vehicle in a dam near Carolina

Police divers together with a search-and-rescue team visited the scene, where they discovered the man’s body and vehicle.

Carolina Police is investigating an inquest docket after a 22-year-old man was found in a dam at Kromkrans Farm near Carolina.

According to Sgt Thabang Mokwana, spokesman for Carolina Police, his family said he left home for work on 11 March.

They reported him missing on 14 March.

Sgt Mokwana told the Highvelder that cattle herders informed the family that they saw something resembling a car in the dam and the family reported it to the police.

Police divers together with a search-and-rescue team visited the scene, where they discovered the man’s body and vehicle.

“According to the preliminary investigation, it seemed like the driver lost control of the vehicle at a sharp curve and rolled it into the dam.”

Carolina Police are busy with the investigation.
