VIDEO: Alleged thief at the receiving end of mob justice in Ermelo
Mr Armand Hilarius, district manager for the South African Community Crime Watch in the Gert Sibande Region, said: “The suspect was arrested and handed over to Ermelo Police for further investigation as he might be linked to other cases of card cloning.”
A man allegedly attempted to rob a women at an ATM in Ermelo Mall on 25 February.
Community members took matters in their own hands before emergency services arrived.
The man’s clothes were ripped after the tug war.
Community members beat and kicked the man.
