Municipal employees repaired Oosthuise and Mandela Street in Ermelo on 5 February.
According to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman of Msukaligwa Municipality, sections of the road surface was damaged due to the burning of tyres during a protest in Oosthuise Street.
“Sections of the surface’s thickness was very thin during the resurfacing program.”
Maintenance was done in order to keep the road in good condition.
Meanwhile, in Mandela Street, the intersection at Lindile Secondary School was filled and levelled.
