Group of men allegedly rape and assault woman in Wesselton

According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman for Ermelo Police, the men grabbed her and forced her to a nearby shack, while threatening that they would stab her.

Ermelo Police is investigating two cases of rape that recently occurred in Ermelo.

A 20-year-old woman was on her way home in Ext 33 on 23 February, when she noticed a group of men following her.

According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman for Ermelo Police, the men grabbed her and forced her to a nearby shack, while threatening that they would stab her.

“At the shack one of the suspect raped her, after which the other men assaulted her with a belt.”

The woman managed to escape and report the incident to the police.
