Ermelo community rallies behind a good cause

Thank you to every person who bought a cupcake, you have helped make a difference in the life of a young child suffering with cancer as well as their family’s lives.

Staff of the Highvelder Newspaper sold over 500 cupcakes of which all proceeds will be donated to Cupcakes of Hope.

Cupcakes of HOPE is a non-profit company (NPC) and public benefit organisation (PBO) that aims to raise awareness surrounding childhood cancer and raising funds for families in need of medical assistance.

The Highvelder would like to thank:

Ermelo Spa, West Street Inn, Dougies Pets (Melody du Toit), Lloyd and Jansen, Bekker Brink and Brink, Tel-a-Car, Quicklane, 24 Motors, TWK Isuzu, Toyota, Trapsoetjies Kleinskool, Wilgers Voorskool, Little Miracles, Sasol Garage and every individual who supported this initiative, donated, and also helped baking cupcakes.

International Childhood Cancer Day is a global collaborative campaign that takes place on 15 February, to raise awareness about childhood cancer, and to express support for children and adolescents with cancer, the survivors and their families.
