Car guards allegedly threaten motorist in Ermelo

“One of them demanded she pay him money or else he would damage her car.”

Car guards allegedly threatened a woman on the corner of De Jager and Joubert Street on 24 January.

According to Mr Theo Craven, control room operator for ACSU and district manager of South African Community Crime Watch (SACCW) Gert Sibande, this took place near a local bank and bedding and furniture retailer.

According to Mr Craven, a woman parked her vehicle and was approached by two car guards.

“One of them demanded she pay him money or else he would damage her car.”

“She then left to park elsewhere and went to the store however, when she left the store the same car guard followed her and tried to intimidate her to pay him.”
