Two people injured by alleged reckless and negligent driving

“One of the vehicles was towing the other vehicle with a rope, when the vehicle at the back suddenly overtook the vehicle in the front.”

Chrissiesmeer Police have arrested two men for alleged reckless and negligent driving, driving without a drivers license and driving a vehicle that was apparently not roadworthy on 16 November.

According to Const Patience Ngozo, spokesman for Chrissiesmeer Police, two people were injured by the suspect’s alleged reckless and negligent driving, while they were participating in the great lake marathon between Carolina and Chrissiesmeer.

“One of the vehicles was towing the other vehicle with a rope, when the vehicle at the back suddenly overtook the vehicle in the front.”

Carolina Ambulance Service transported the victims to the hospital.

Both suspects were released on 17 November and will appear again in Chrissiesmeer Court on 12 December.
