It was brought to the attention of Gert Sibande District Municipality that there is an individual or individuals that are pretending to be working for the Supply Chain Unit of the municipality.
These alleged fraudsters who are pretending to be agents are, securing service or tenders for service providers.
According to Ms Bongi Ka Dube, spokesman from GSDM, the municipality refutes these claims and distances itself from the alleged impostors.
The district warns the community not to be deceived by these unknown individuals.
Ms Dube requested, if the community is aware of any suspicious acts or individuals claiming to work for the municipality they should contact the Municipal Manager at 017 801 7000.
