A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with a rape case in Mayflower on 1 September.
According to Const Tryphinah Utla, spokesman for Mayflower Police, the man offered to walk with the 32-year-old woman to find her boyfriend at Malinga Tavern.

She added that the incident took place near the Mayflower Community Hall.
The suspect first appeared in the Mayflower Periodical Court on 4 September and the case was postponed to 16 September for bail application.
