Money was stolen from a vehicle at an Engen garage in Ermelo on 31 July.
According to Capt Carla Prinsloo, spokesman of Ermelo Police, an investigation is taking place.
A person allegedly left a substantial amount of money in his vehicle while visiting a convenience store at the garage.
“Upon returning to the vehicle, he discovered the vehicle was broken into and the money gone.”
Capt Prinsloo asked residents to be mindful of the possibility that criminals will target people when they withdraw large amounts of money from a bank or ATM.
