Emerging farmers of Msukaligwa express their dissatisfaction to DARDLEA

That the Department disclose the amount of land that they own and reveal their Land Audit Report.

Emerging farmers of Msukaligwa, led by the South African Communist Party (SACP) handed over a memorandum to the Department of Agriculture, Rural development, Land and Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA) on 16 July.

Some of the farmers complained that their cattle are dying from drinking sewage contaminated water.

Their demands include, but are not limited to the following:

• That the Department provide grass, salt, injections and medicine for farmers’ livestock during winter.

• That the Department disclose the number of trackers under Msukaligwa Municipality.

• That the Department disclose the amount of land that they own and reveal their Land Audit Report.
