UPDATE- Motorcyclists who was run over in Ermelo gets back on his feet

“When I show him pictures of the accident, he does not remember anything,” Ms Van Wyk said.

Mr André van Wyk, a motorcyclist who was involved in an accident in Ermelo on 8 June, is undergoing physiotherapy at the Care and Retirement Department, at MediClinic Midstream Hospital in Pretoria.

He was transferred from Netcare Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg to MediClinic Midstream on 28 June.

Mr Van Wyk, was taken out of an induced coma before he was transferred.

Ms Mona van Wyk, Mr Van Wyk’s wife, said he is getting physiotherapy, because he is unable to walk or use his hands at this stage.

“When I show him pictures of the accident, he does not remember anything,” Ms Van Wyk said.

“His recent memory is about the last three to four days he spent at Netcare Milpark Hospital.”

She added that he sometimes becomes very emotional about the incident.
