Mixed emotions about residents ‘fixing’ N17-intersection road

The workers trying to fix the potholes at the robot entering Ermelo from Bethal are well-known to the residents of Ermelo.

Questions have been raised whether they are doing a good deed for motorists or merely pretending to work.

As most residents feel that they are earning an honest living, others feel that they put the safety of themselves, as well as the safety of motorists at risk by standing in the middle of the road.

Mr Jason Frawsch, resident of Ermelo, said: “It’s a good thing, they help drivers by filling the holes, but they do tend to annoy me when they stand in the middle of the road.”
