Man convicted for business robberies in Lothair

According to Const Khumalo, his accomplice Smanga Nkosi could not be convicted because he had disappeared and is currently wanted by the Lothair Police.

Mr Linda Mbokane was recently found guilty on charges of business burglaries after the cases were on trial for two years.

He was sentenced to seven-year imprisonment of which four years are suspended on condition that he is not convicted for the same offences.

He was arrested after the Lothair CIS unit conducted an investigation of a number of business burglaries that were committed between October and November 2017.

The burglaries took place in Lothair, surrounding farms including a school at the Damesfontein farm.

Stolen items that were recovered in different places and occasions, all led to the arrest of Mbokane and Nkosi.
